At De Anza Middle School, students experience a vibrant, supportive, and engaging environment where every learner is empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our campus culture is built on safety, connection, and high expectations—creating a place where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired every day.

Student life at De Anza extends far beyond the classroom. We proudly offer a full menu of competitive athletic programs through the Ontario-Montclair School District, including volleyball, football, boys and girls basketball, cross country, track and field, and boys and girls soccer. De Anza is especially proud to be home of the back-to-back OMSD Football Champions, a testament to our students’ dedication, teamwork, and school pride.

Students also have access to a wide range of enriching after-school opportunities through our ELOP clubs, including MESA, tutoring, Homework Hangout, folklórico, cheer, and more—ensuring that every student can find a space to explore their interests and talents. Through our partnership with Think Together, students benefit from a safe, structured, and engaging after-school program that supports both learning and personal growth.

During the school day, De Anza provides a comprehensive system of support designed to meet the needs of all learners. Programs such as AVID, visual arts, world languages, English Learner support services, counseling, and targeted academic interventions ensure that every student is equipped for success and prepared for the future.

We also take pride in building strong pathways beyond middle school. De Anza partners closely with local high schools—including Ontario High School, Chaffey High School, and Colony High School—to create a seamless and supportive transition into high school and beyond.

Our commitment to excellence and student-centered practices has earned De Anza the distinction of being recognized as a 2026 California Distinguished School—an honor that reflects the hard work, resilience, and success of our students, staff, and community.
